Quality and Testing

JLC has fully equipped in-house laboratories for testing of chemical, metallurgical and electro-magnetic properties of the materials. Our modern measuring and analysis facilities include:

  • Spectroscope (LECO, USA)
  • LECO Oxygen-Nitrogen analyser
  • LECO Carbon-Sulfur analyser
  • Tensile Testing (5 kg - 20 MT range)
  • Profile Projectors
  • Micro Hardness
  • Plating Thickness Measurement
  • Dilatometer
  • Metallurgical Microscopy
  • Magnetic Properties Testing
  • Wet Testing Equipment
  • Life-Test Equipment (for Heating & Resistance wires)

To assure our quality standards, all testing and measuring equipment within JLC are subject to frequent calibration and verification by Electronic Test Development Centre (ETDC) accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) as per ISO 17025:2005 for calibration of Electro-technical parameters.

The ETDC laboratories across India are maintained and managed by Standardization Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate which is an attached office of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DEITY), Government of India. This body provides quality assurance services in the area of Electronics and IT through countrywide network of laboratories and centres, having national/International accreditation and recognitions in the area of testing and calibration.

Complete Traceability of Products

Each heat melted at JLC is identified with a unique heat number. This heat number can be used to track the material as it makes its way through the various manufacturing operations. Complete traceability from melt to finish wire/ strip/ ribbon product allows for material verification as well as documentation of key process controls. Statistical analysis of chemical, mechanical, and physical parameters is also performed for each heat.

Material Adherence to Global Regulations

We follow strict adherence to Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS Directive) and REACH Regulation.

JLC Electromet is registered as a manufacturer at Substances Declarations and Conflict Minerals Web Database called BOMCHECK maintained by ENVIRON Corp.

JLC has ISO 9001:2008 based Quality Management System supported by a fully equipped in-house laboratories for testing of chemical, metallurgical and electro-magnetic properties of the materials.

Quality Management Systems

AT JLC, the quality of our products forms the basis for success of our company and our customers. Meeting of quality requirements through constant improvement of procedures, processes and operating steps is one of the personal objective of all team members.

JLC has adopted a Quality Management System and is certified in accordance with the standards DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.

JLC has put in practice a stringent Quality Management System. Besides process control, quality plans are used for testing at incoming raw materials & process consumables, in-process goods and finished materials.

Systematic planning, monitoring, and control of organizational and technical processes is achieved through the application of these quality management systems. All critical process parameters are controlled using Statistical Process Control tools and all processes are set using a Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to ensure high quality of products.
